Why is basketball growing so fast?
Many people ask why basketball has developed so quickly in such a short time? Because basketball was founded by the Christian organization YMCA, the spread of basketball also coincided with the missionary activities carried out. Immediately after a period of operation, the YMCA used basketball games as part of its work at home and abroad.
With the United States having long winter months in many parts of the country, many people are looking for entertaining games, so basketball is chosen and played by many people.
World wars and the economy also make this sport grow rapidly. In 1938 and 1939, the National Invitational Tournament (NIT) and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) were born. In 1937 and 1946, the National Basketball League (NBL) and the Basketball Association of America (BAA) were also formed. Then in 1949, the NBL and several BAA teams merged to form the NBA.
